Elefun center is a fully-fledged children’s facility within the lodge environs, which fosters awareness and an appreciation of nature.

All safaris are conducted in open vehicles, under the supervision of our highly skilled and trained field guides and Shangaan trackers there are two safaris daily – each lasting approximately three hours – centered on prime viewing times (early morning and late afternoon / evening).

For an alternative exciting adventure guests can opt for a mid-morning walking safari which reveals a totally different perspective of the bush. The walk, accompanied by an armed ranger, is approximately two hours long.

What to bring:

• Dress completely informal. Neutral colours recommended. (A full range of safari clothing is available from our Boutique Shops);
• Windbreaker or warm jacket for winter and night safaris.
• Comfortable walking shoes.
• Swimming costume – each lodge has a cool filtered pool.
• Binoculars, camera, video camera (don’t forget extra film or camera tapes).
• Sunglasses, sunhats and sunblock.

Please note that Sabi Sabi is situated within a malarial area. It is recommended that guests consult their physician or travel clinic regarding the latest, easily administered malaria prophylaxis.

Safari

No children under the age of 6 allowed unless exclusive use vehicle is purchased.
No children under the age of 13 allowed on walks.
All safaris are up to Rangers discretion and guest safety will take priority at all times.

Any time of year is a good time to visit Sabi Sabi, as each season in the bushveld has its own wonders.

Spring and summer are our rainy seasons, which in turn make the bush green, lush and thick. It is also  the time of year where there are many newborn animals. Temperatures range from:
